QGPod 44 – Former Pro Baseball Player Rylan Sandoval

Rylan in Mets jersey
For the first Quality Goods Podcast of the new decade, Anson and Chris were joined by former Professional baseball player Rylan Sandoval. Rylan is an East Bay native that worked incredibly hard to land himself on the roster of a minor league team in the New York Mets organization. He told the guys all about the struggles of being a utility player, the grueling travel that comes along with it, and explained about the shady practice known as the phantom DL. He talked about losing the passion for the game after being jerked around in the minors for multiple seasons, and rekindling his love for the game playing in international leagues after his stint in the MILB. Hard work and dedication are paramount when pursuing an career as a professional athlete, and Rylan is no stranger to any of that. His pursuit of making it to the bigs is a truly unique story, and definitely one you should check out whether you’re a baseball fan or not.
